Sony BabyCall Monitor

Sony BabyCall NTM 910 $50

The BabyCall is an analog monitor that comes in two different models…a 9 channel non-rechargeable monitor for $40 and for an extra $10 you can get the 27 channel rechargeable version for $50. I would spring for the 27 channel version. You’ll spend more than that on batteries in a month so it’s worth the ten bucks.

Sony claims that the 27 channels with channel selector will minimize any interference and parents seem to agree. They’ve also included 900 MHz Technology so you can wander further from the nursery and an out of range indicator that beeps to let you know when you’ve gone too far.

The low battery indicator comes in handy since monitors are notorious for using up the battery life quickly and a built in battery re-charger.
The positive feedback is that it has no background noises like some of the other monitors on the market. But, parents say that a portable transmitter would make them happier as well as longer lasting rechargeable batteries and a better belt clip.
